Serving our neighbors in West Homewood and anywhere else love takes us.

OUR SERVICE is geared towards compassion and justice for all, especially those the world forgets.

**COVID-19 Note: We cannot have large numbers of volunteers working together, but there are several places you can can plug in! We need weekly volunteers to go to the Food Bank to support two of our ministries, volunteers to help us assemble food bags for our Backpack Ministry, and volunteers to create and distribute food boxes for Food Share.**

Food ShareCOVID-19 Adaptation: We are currently doing a drive-thru Food Share every Tuesday from 2:30-4:00 PM at Trinity West Homewood. This will continue as long as the Community Food Bank remains open and these kinds of activities are permitted.

Our food pantry ministry meets every Tuesday from 2:30-4:30pm. Each week, we provide free food to those struggling with food insecurity, monthly we provide diapers to families with young children. We are currently serving over 200 households each month. You can help by setting up our “store” from 11-2 and/or assisting families as they shop from 2:30-4:30pm. Volunteers of all ages can plug into this ongoing relational ministry. We hope you join us!

Backpack Ministry: COVID-19 Adaptation: We are currently having families assemble food bags in the Oxmoor campus Fellowship Hall. We are delivering the food bags to Homewood Middle School once a week, and the school system passes them out along with the meals their schools are able to prepare and distribute.

Children’s Clothing Closet: Located just below our sanctuary, our closet is entirely stocked with donations from the TUMC family. We accept seasonally appropriate like new or new children’s clothing and shoes, as well as larger items like high chairs and pack n plays. Donated items and volunteer shopkeepers are always needed. Want to donate? Drop off items in the Closet next time you are at church. Receipts for your donation can be found in the girl’s clothing room.
